K-Groups

"K" is for "Koinonia," the Greek New Testament word for Fellowship.

K-Groups are Cahaba Park Church's version of small groups. Since part of our vision includes a focus on the corporate family of God, we believe the best way to serve the family is through small groups.

K-Groups have three purposes:

1. Fellowship

Since the body of Christ is made up of all ages, it is important to fellowship together. We believe one of the most effective ways of doing this is by sharing a meal together. K-Groups meet each week in a host home and share a meal together. Groups are organized according to geographical location around the city to make meeting easy. Each group is comprised of all ages and stages of life - all are welcome!

2. Prayer

The second focus of K-Groups is prayer. We believe that God will bring about personal and community transformation through the faith-centered prayers of His people. After a meal together, each K-Group is encouraged to spend time praying for one another as well as the community.

3. Sermon Discussion

K-Groups will meet on Sunday afternoons from 5:30-7pm. After groups fellowship and pray together, a sermon discussion time will follow in the time that remains. Life-application questions from the sermon and Scripture passage will be provided in the morning's worship guide, and those questions will be the focus of the discussion time.

K-Group Introduction August 1 and August 8 

These sessions are for anyone who has never participated in a K-Group and would like to learn more about these times of  Bible Study, discussion and fellowship.  They will be meeting at the home of Liz and Casey Giddens, 1001 Edgewood Blvd. in Homewood, from 5:30pm - 7:30pm.  If you are interested in attending, please contact Casey Giddens at 757.6857 or cgiddens@cahabapark.org.
